World premiere of Kyrgyz film Joo Kuluk takes place in South Korea

World premiere of the film Joo Kuluk directed by Mirlan Abdykalykov took place at the 24th Busan International Film Festival on October 8. Producer of the movie Altynai Koichumanova told.

According to her, the hall of the cinema center, where the premiere took place, was full. Before screening, a festival selector introduced the audience to the film director Mirlan Abdykalykov and producer Altynai Koichumanova.

The film was shown with English and Korean subtitles. The audience applauded, warmly accepting the film.

The director answered the questions. The audience was interested in the story of creating the script of the film, the Kyrgyz tradition of cutting the hopples, work with actors-children and game animals in filming location.

The audience was surprised by the professional acting of children in the film, especially the main character — Temirlan Asankadyrov. Several questions related to the end of the film, which the director left open, giving occasion for reflection.

The film will be released in Kyrgyzstan on October 17.
