U.S dollar rises in price up to 70 soms in Kyrgyzstan
Over the week, the U.S. dollar grew in price by 25 tyiyns and is approaching 70 soms.
Today, the capital’s exchange offices and commercial banks buy the U.S. currency for 69.45-69.55 soms, and sell — for 69.7-69.75 soms. Since the beginning of the month, dollar has risen in price by 75 tyiyns. The nominal rate was set by the National Bank at 69,5196 soms (0.16 percent growth).
A similar situation was observed in early September, when the dollar reached 69.7 soms. This forced the National Bank to intervene in order to stabilize the situation in the foreign exchange market.
