Damage from smuggling in Kyrgyzstan amounts to nearly 150 million in 2018
Since the beginning of 2018, the financial police and national security bodies have investigated 120 criminal cases involving the smuggling of goods and other items. Press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
The damage is estimated at 149,956.4 billion soms. At least 25,264.2 million soms have been reimbursed. At the same time, 18 criminal cases were sent to court, 49 were terminated due to voluntary payment of the amount of due customs duties, including fines.
«Smuggled goods and objects were arrested within criminal cases that are in production. Operational and investigative activities are being carried out,» the statement says.
