Skirmish in Kadamdzhai. Situation in region is stable
Situation in Kadamdzhai district of Batken region is stable. Press service of the office of plenipotentiary representative of the government in the region informed 24.kg news agency.
Nobody was detained after yesterday’s conflict between representatives of the state bodies and residents of Maidan rural district.
«Representatives of state bodies held meetings with villagers to clarify the situation around the development of Shambesai gold field. At the meeting, some villagers expressed disagreement. Law enforcement officials took steps to ensure public order. No one has been detained,» the press service reported.
Recall, residents of Maidan village oppose the development of the gold deposit not for the 1st time. They demand to close the deposit and revoke license from a Chinese company.
