Russia may invest in construction of railways in Kyrgyzstan
Russian Railways company may take part in the modernization and construction of railways in Kyrgyzstan. TASS reported with reference to the First Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Alexander Misharin.
According to him, the company is now making a rationale of investments in modernization and new construction. This is a project within the North-South transport corridor. Alexander Misharin noted that Russian Railways company was interested in developing cooperation with Central Asian railways.
«One of the most important areas of our cooperation is the development of transit traffic from the Far East to the countries of Central Asia and vice versa, and the development of projects in Central Asia is Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and others,» the representative of Russian Railways stressed.
