ICAO positively assesses airports of Kyrgyzstan
The Deputy Director of Flight Safety Directorate of Manas International Airport Bakhtiyar Tursunbaev does not agree that all airports in Kyrgyzstan do not meet the standards.
According to him, airports comply with the requirements and legislation.
«The problem of development around the airport should be solved by local authorities. We constantly notify the Civil Aviation Agency of the construction. A decision is made then,» said Bakhtiyar Tursunbaev.
He added that the airports are undergoing reconstruction, they receive certificates of conformity. In terms of aviation security, an ICAO audit was conducted. Airports of the Kyrgyz Republic received a positive rating.
Recall, the head of the Transport Safety Control Department of the State Environmental and Technical Safety Inspectorate, Gulzada Ibraimova, believes that all takeoffs and departures from Kyrgyz airports are considered as dangerous.
