Drug courier with over 25 kilograms of heroin detained in Kyrgyzstan
The Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic detected a channel for smuggling particularly large quantities of hard drugs of Afghan origin. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
A 45-year-old resident of Chui region was detained during a search operation in Bishkek. At least 24 briquettes with heroin were found in his bag, the weight of which was 25 kilograms 160 grams.
A criminal case was initiated under article 247 — Illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment for sale, as well as illegal production or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainee was placed in a pretrial detention center. The investigation continues.
