Kyrgyzstanis win 5 medals at karate tournament in Russia
Kyrgyzstanis won five medals at Karate-do WKF tournament in Russia. The President of Keyhatsu club, coach Dmitry Kazanov, informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the All-Russian Europe-Asia competition ended in Orenburg. More than 1,100 athletes from the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan participated in it. «Our country was represented by karatekas from Samurai (coach — Pavel Bondarenko) and Keykhatsu clubs,» Dmitry Kazanov noted. «They won gold, silver and three bronze awards.»
Olga Maltseva won champion title in kumite section in the age group of 16–17 years in the weight category above 59 kg. Erbol Jumaliev (over 18, up to 84 kg) took the second place. Matvey Yavget (8–9 years old, up to 32 kg), Aigerim Murzakanova (14–15 years old, up to 54 kg) and Dilnaz Soobayeva (16–17 years old, up to 59 kg) took the third places.
«We are currently preparing for the World Cup, which will be held on November 5-12 in Madrid,» added Dmitry Kazanov.
