$42 mln to be spent on protection of Bishkek – Osh highway from avalanches
About $ 42 million will be spent on the protection of Bishkek-Osh highway from avalanches. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
It is noted that the ceremony of signing a contract on the project Protection against Avalanches on Bishkek-Osh Highway between the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic and Dai Nippon Construction company took place at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan.
The project will be implemented at the expense of grant funds from Japan. Avalanche fencing in the form of an arched pipe will be installed on the 246th kilometer of Bishkek-Osh highway. In addition, access roads will be built on both sides of the avalanche protection shed.
