Wrestler from Kyrgyzstan takes 3rd place at tournament in Russia
Kyrgyzstani took the third place at the International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament. The Federation of Wrestling of Russia reported.
Nefteyugansk hosted competitions for the prizes of the Vice President of the Federal Security Service of Russia Vladimir Semenov Yugra Cup. More than 130 athletes from 15 countries took part in the competitions. Athletes competed in ten weight categories.
Kyrgyzstan was represented by six wrestlers. Ikromzhon Khadzhimurodov showed the best result performing in weight up to 61 kilograms. He had two fights: in the quarter finals he lost to the future champion Artem Gebekov (Russia), and then defeated Ruslan Gasimov (Azerbaijan). As a result, he won bronze medal.
Representatives of Kyrgyzstan became the 8th in the team scoring.
