Kyrgyzstani Hasan Baudunov wins bronze medal at Youth Olympic Games
Kyrgyzstani Hasan Baudunov won bronze medal at the Youth Olympic Games taking place in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
He participated in the fencing tournament. In the group stage, he scored three wins, lost twice and reached the playoffs.
In the quarter-finals, the Kyrgyzstani defeated Seyu Asami (Japan) — 15: 9, and then lost to Paul Veltrup (Germany) — 12:15. In the fight for the third place, the athlete defeated Mohamed Elsayed (Egypt) — 14:13.
This is the first medal of Kyrgyzstan at the Youth Olympic Games 2018.
Hasan Baudunov is 17 years old. He is the champion of Asia among the cadets. He repeatedly successfully performed among the adults.
