Nursultan Nazarbayev remembers blockade of Kyrgyzstan a year ago
Speaking to the people of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev recalled that Kazakhstan «blocked roads» to Kyrgyzstan. Kazakh media reported.
The president touched on the country’s export potential. He noted that the government needed to focus on supporting exporters, especially in the manufacturing sector. At the same time, trade policy should cease to be toothless.
«Look what’s happening around it. You know how Belarus protects its commodity producers. What happened with Kyrgyzstan when we blocked all the roads for them? They fought. Our people are silent, argue with no one. They are used to the fact that only the top management can argue with someone,» Nursultan Nazarbayev said outraged.
Difficulties with admission of goods to Kyrgyzstan and from it arose a little more than a year ago. The problems were solved only after a meeting of two leaders — the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the new President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
