Drop in temperature forecasted in Kyrgyzstan
The Ministry of Emergency Situations spread a storm warning for the coming weekend.
According to it, after a long dry and warm weather, a sharp drop in temperature is expected. So, today afternoon, rain is expected in most territory of Chui, Talas regions and in some districts of Jalal-Abad, Osh, Batken, Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions with snow in the high mountain zone. West wind of 5-10 meters per second, in some areas with a gain of up to 18-23 meters per second is forecasted.
Daily air temperature is expected to drop in Chui and Talas regions: in the valley zone — to + 15-20 degrees, in the foothill areas — to + 12-17 degrees, in mountainous areas — up to + 10-15 degrees, in high-altitude areas — to +3 −8 degrees.
From October 8 to October 10, it will be raining in most parts of Kyrgyzstan, on pastures in mountainous areas — rain with snow, in the high-mountainous zone — snow. West wind 4-9 meters per second is expected, in Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions — with gusts up to 15-20 meters per second.
Such unstable weather will complicate grazing of livestock on pastures, work of motor transport, communications enterprises, energy and utilities services.
On October 9-10, frosts are expected at night in Talas, Kemin valleys and foothill areas of Chui region.
