Second criminal case opened on construction of Balykchi – Korumdu road
The Prosecutor General’s Office opened the second criminal case on construction of Balykchi-Cholpon-Ata-Korumdu road. The press service of the state body reported.
Employees of the Road Industry Department under the Ministry of Transport illegally allowed Long Hai to use ordinary cement instead of sulfate-resistant in the construction of structures. In the future, this may lead to rapid deterioration of structures and emergency situations. At the same time, no corresponding adjustments were made to reduce the price of work for the use of conventional cement.
A criminal case on the abuse of power by individual employees of the Road Industry Department under articles 304 (abuse of office) and 166 (fraud) of the Criminal Code was opened. The criminal case was sent to investigative body for further investigation.
This is already the second criminal case on Balykchy — Korumdu road. The first was instituted in early July also on fraud fact. A scheme for illegal use of budget funds in attracting consulting services in the process of reconstruction of the road was revealed in the Department of Road Industry under the Ministry of Transport. The contract was signed in violation of the requirements of the public procurement law with an unreasonable overestimation of the total amount by 16,284,000 soms.
