SCNS continues to investigate criminal case against Almambet Shykmamatov
Criminal case against a deputy of the Parliament Almambet Shykmamatov was completely stopped. Civil activist Melis Aspekov posted on Facebook.
However, the press center of the State Committee for National Security refuted this information. The committee clarified that the criminal case had not been stopped, the investigation continues.
On February 17, 2017, a criminal case was opened against former auditor of the Chamber of Accounts Almambet Shykmamatov. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, he sold a car of his wife to Barat Lux company at an overestimated price — for $ 13,500. The supervisory authority is sure that the real price of the car at that time was about $ 10,000. The Pervomaisky District Court found the defendant guilty and sentenced Almambet Shykmamatov to a fine of 5 million soms. On June 12, 2018, the Bishkek City Court canceled the decision of the first instance court and returned the criminal case for further investigation to the State Committee for National Security.
