EEU member countries to introduce single fire safety requirements
Single for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) fire safety technical regulations will be put into effect in winter of 2020. Interfax reported.
Head of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fire Protection under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Denis Gordienko said that introduction of the single technical regulations would begin as early as in June 2019. The countries of the union currently form a list of standards that ensure preservation of the requirements of technical regulations.
The single regulations will allow to unify the requirements, in particular to fire extinguishers, fire-fighting equipment, technical smoke protection equipment and firefighters’ equipment in the territory of the EEU countries.
