SCNS comments on suspended criminal case against Omurbek Babanov
The State Committee for National Security explained that only one case against Omurbek Babanov had been suspended. The press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
The committee is investigating two criminal cases related to Omurbek Babanov. One case was opened against the ex-leader of Respublika — Ata Jurt faction on the fact of his speech in Amir-Timur micro district of Osh city.
«During the speech, he voiced unreasonable, provocative words. The second criminal case was initiated on the fact of preparations for violent seizure of power and mass riots, separated from the criminal case against Kanat Isaev and others. Investigation into this case was suspended. All necessary investigative and operational measures are carried out within the second case,» the report says.
