Sooronbai Jeenbekov presents Naina Yeltsina with collection of works by Aitmatov
The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov today, on September 18, met with the ex-first lady of Russia Naina Yeltsina, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The press service of the head of state reported.
«This university is one of the most successful projects in the Kyrgyz-Russian relations. All these years KRSU successfully fulfills the high mission entrusted to it — it preserves a single educational and scientific space, promotes new knowledge and technologies. Scholarships from you will become an additional incentive to get an education for the students,» the president said.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov invited Naina Yeltsina to take part in the International Issyk-Kul Forum of Intellectuals dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov and presented her with collection of his works.
