Tennis player from Kyrgyzstan takes 2nd place at tournament in Almaty
Kyrgyzstani Kseniya Palkina took the 2nd place at the international tennis tournament, which ended on September 15 in Almaty (Kazakhstan). The International Tennis Federation reported.
In the singles category, the national athlete dropped out of the fight in the second round. In pair matches, performing in a duet with Uzbekistan’s citizen Albina Khabibulina, she reached the finals.
At the start, they defeated Narin Sargsyan (Armenia) and Anastasia Veselova (Russia) — 6: 2, 6: 4, then — Vlada Koval (Russia) and Anastasia Rosnovskaya (Germany) — 2: 6, 7: 5 (10: 2.) In the final, Khabibulina and Palkina lost to Marina Chernyshova (Ukraine) and Vlada Ekshibarova (Israel) — 6: 7, 2: 6.
