Smuggling of petroleum products to Tajikistan prevented in Batken region
Border guards of Lyailyak border detachment of Batken region detained a citizen of Tajikistan who attempted to smuggle petroleum products from Kyrgyzstan on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border. The Public Relations and Media Department of the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The 19-year-old citizen of Tajikistan tried to take out diesel fuel by a Hyundai Porter truck outside the border crossing point without documents.
«The frontier detachment detained the smuggler 20 meters from the border line, near Lenin village of Lyailyak district. The detainee was fined and handed over to the customs officers for further investigation,» the Border Service reported.
