Citizens of China predominate among foreign workers in Kyrgyzstan
Chinese citizens predominate among foreign workers in Kyrgyzstan. The head of Department for Work with Foreign Citizens of the State Migration Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakytbek Kudaiberdiev said today at a press conference.
Bakytbek Kudaiberdiev said that the government set a quota for attracting foreign labor — 16,490 people. The work permits have been issued to 10,961 specialists.
According to him, most of the foreign citizens work in the territory of Bishkek. The attractive region is Jalal-Abad region because of gold-bearing deposits.
Kyrgyzstan has most of all workers from China (over 79.2 percent), the Republic of Turkey (5.9 percent or 647 people), from the Republic of Korea (2.2 percent, or 224 people) and Pakistan (1.6 percent, or 171 people.)
