Mayor of Bishkek inspects works on protection of Ala-Archa river banks
The mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov got acquainted with the bank protection works along Ala-Archa river. The press service of the Bishkek City Administration reported.
According to the head of the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Bishkek Adilbek Chargynov, it is planned to protect the riverbed with concrete in the area of Mamytov (Chapaev) and Leo Tolstoy Streets. Employees of the municipal enterprise Bishkekzelenkhoz clean the riverbed below Leo Tolstoy street.
In general, it is necessary to build a concrete 350-meter-long wall from Ryskulov Street to Zhibek-Zholu Avenue to protect the banks of the river from erosion of the dam and its destruction.
