Antalya preparing for 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov
Son of the writer Chingiz Aitmatov, Askar Aitmatov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Ibragim Dzhunusov met with the leadership of the city administrations of Antalya, Kemer and Muratpaşa. Assol Moldokmatova, public figure, TV presenter, Vice President of Issyk-Kul Forum named after Chingiz Aitmatov, told 24.kg news agency.
The nearest plans for celebration of the writer’s anniversary were announced at the meeting.
Preparation for the anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov in Turkey is gaining momentum: documents for the opening of a park named after the writer have been agreed upon and received, where a bust will be installed and a capsule for the construction of a library named after the writer was laid.
More than twenty billboards on which a photo of the writer will be placed were allocated. They will recall about the significance of his work for the world community and about spiritual values.
The main concert hall of the city hosted a photo exhibition of unique cadres from the life of the writer and the painting of Kyrgyz artists. The collection Evolution, More than Century is presented at the stage. A concert of Marat Talantbekov took place.
The park named after Chingiz Aitmatov was approved by the council of deputies of Muratpaşa city administration. Foundation for Aitmatov library will be laid by the end of autumn.
