Ex-mayor of Bishkek Albek Ibraimov charged with corruption
The former mayor of Bishkek has been charged with corruption. The press center of the State Committee for National Security informed.
According to it, Albek Ibraimov was charged under Article 303 (corruption) of the Criminal Code within the investigation of a criminal case on corruption in the allocation of municipal land plots for the use by the physical and legal persons.
«The investigation found out that Albek Ibraimov, using his power for mercenary purposes, organized along with other officials of the Bishkek City Administration a criminal scheme for unlawful withdrawal of municipal land in the southern zone of Bishkek. The land plots were registered with frontmen affiliated with them, and through them the land was resold to other persons with a monetary benefit in a particularly large amount,» the report said.
Recall, the ex-mayor of Bishkek was detained on the fact of misappropriation and embezzlement of property of Dastan ЕТС by purchasing special products at an overestimated price. He was placed in the pretrial detention center of the State Committee for National Security until August 29, 2018.
