Government discusses stabilization of prices for fuel and lubricants
The First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov held a meeting on the stabilization of prices for fuel and lubricants. The Information Support Department of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
«It is necessary to understand that the rise in prices for gasoline leads to a rise in the cost of many services and goods, including food products. We must not allow sharp fuel prices increase,» the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
According to Alymbek Orozbekov, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use, the main increase in prices for fuel and lubricants occurred in late May — early June.
The sharp increase in wholesale prices for petroleum products in Russia, from which the bulk of the oil products is imported into the country, was caused by a number of factors, the main of them was the growth in the world oil prices.
The First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov instructed the State Agency of Antimonopoly Regulation to take control of the situation.
«We must constantly monitor the fuel and lubricants market, including retail prices for gasoline of different brands and diesel fuel in the regions of the country, continue the policy of smoothing the price increase and avoiding sharp price fluctuations for fuel and lubricants,» he said.
