Russian experts to assess state of military machinery in Kyrgyzstan
The Russian military will assess the state of the military machinery in Kyrgyzstan and, if necessary, will help to repair it. The press service of the Central Military District reported.
Russian specialists from a separate logistic and maintenance support team arrived at Kant airbase. They will be engaged in the restoration of the military equipment of the units of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«Earlier, the Defense Minister of Russia Sergei Shoigu stated that Russia was doing everything possible to provide military assistance to Kyrgyzstan by strengthening its armament, providing modern equipment and training the specialists, that would help to fight against Islamist militants if the latter decide to invade the region,» the statement says.
