Pilot schools in Kyrgyzstan to test textbooks for 7-9 grades
In the new academic year, the Ministry of Education will test new textbooks for 7-9 grades. The Deputy Head of the Ministry Nadira Dzhusupbekova told 24.kg news agency.
According to her, schools in all regions of the republic will be selected for the purpose. Approbation of the textbooks for 5-6 grades has already been completed.
«The textbooks of the new generation teach at the competence level, help to develop, to seek information,» she noted.
The deputy minister said that the department held talks on the adaptation of the Russian textbooks to the educational standards of Kyrgyzstan.
«We need time to raise our own textbook authors. Therefore, one of the areas of cooperation with the Russian side can be the adaptation and production of textbooks, including mathematics for primary schools, translating them into Kyrgyz,» she said.
