Number of passengers on domestic flights decreases by 5%
In January-June 2018, Kyrgyz airlines transported 647,690 passengers. This was announced at the board meeting of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic on the results of the first half of the year.
According to the ministry, at the same time, the number of passengers on international flights increased by 8 percent and amounted to 348,045. The number of clients of domestic airlines decreased by 5 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
Foreign airlines transported 699,724 passengers on international flights.
Since the beginning of 2018, a number of indicators has increased: cargo transportation increased by 28.5 percent, postal services — by 3.9 percent, international flights — by 1.18 percent and transit flights — by an average of 32.27 percent.
