Parliament to discuss insurance and pension fund of labor migrants
In September, the parliament deputies will discuss insurance and the opening of a pension fund for the labor migrants. MP Tazabek Ikramov stated today at a round table discussion «Our labor migrants — real investors in the new economy of Kyrgyzstan» in 24.kg news agency.
The deputy noted the need to support workers abroad and appreciated their contribution to the country’s economy.
«Previously, we were able to increase the amount of compensation and reduce the number of necessary certificates to receive money for cargo 200. In September, the Parliament will propose a project of insurance and a pension fund,» Tazabek Ikramov told.
According to the participants of the round table discussion, migrants, who left the country in 1990-1995, have now reached the retirement age, but many remain without pensions after a long service.
