Prime Minister asks Issyk-Kul region residents to be more polite with tourists
The head of the government of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev asked the residents of Issyk-Kul region to be more polite with the tourists. He stated this today in Cholpon-Ata when discussing the problem of tourism development in Kyrgyzstan.
«We know that our service quality and sanitation do not meet the necessary requirements. Athletes got food poisoning in one of the resorts on Issyk-Kul Lake in the winter,» the Prime Minister said.
«No matter how much we talk about it, they continue to stop the tourists. This will damage the image of the country. After communicating with our inspectors, many tourists refuse to return to Kyrgyzstan. Also, it is necessary to change the consciousness of the local population towards the tourists,» he said.
