Balykchi – Korumdu road. Criminal case on fraud opened
The Prosecutor General's Office opened a criminal case on fraud, abuse of office and signing of a contract, public procurement contrary to the interests of the country in the construction of Balykchi – Korumdu road. The press service of the main supervisory body reported.
The Road Facilities Department under the Ministry of Transport has detected an illegal use of budgetary funds in attracting consultancy services during reconstruction of Balykchi-Tamchi-Cholpon-Ata-Korumdu highway.
It was found out that a contract between the department and the consulting company K. on providing consulting services during the road reconstruction was signed on December 17, 2015.
"As a result of the unlawful actions of the department and the company, the state suffered damage in an especially large amount. The criminal case has been sent to the investigative body," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
