SRS plans to issue passports to children instead of certificates from 2019
The State Registration Service intends from 2019 to issue passports to children instead of certificates of citizenship. The press service of the agency informed 24.kg news agency.
SRS planned since January 1, 2018 to abandon the inserts and issue civil passports to the minors. However, the bill was not supported. It is still in public discussion.
At the end of May, the forms of inserts in the SRS came to an end. Tender was held only in June.
«One can get an insert now. Forms will be available till the end of the year. We intend to abandon them from 2019,» the SRS explained.
