President of Kyrgyzstan tells deputies about foreign policy priorities
Strengthening of friendly and fraternal relations with neighboring countries remains a priority of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov stated this today at the session of the Parliament.
«We have raised the cooperation with the closest neighbor — the People’s Republic of China — to the strategic level. It is necessary to achieve economic development, technological renewal in cooperation with China. We will develop bilateral and multilateral good relations with Turkey, Japan, Korea, the United States, the EU countries, as well as with the countries of the Arab world,» told Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
In the opinion of the head of state, as a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, Kyrgyzstan should maximally use the possibility of export to the large markets of the union.
«Membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Collective Security Treaty Organization primarily aims at ensuring national security of Kyrgyzstan, inviolability of our state borders, elimination of terrorism threats,» he said.
