Smuggling of rice into Kyrgyzstan suppressed
The State Service for Combating Economic Crimes revealed the fact of rice smuggling into Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the agency reported.
A truck with a trailer DAF-XF95 / 480 with foreign state number plates was detained at the entrance to Osh city. At least 23.4 tons of rice without accompanying documents were found during an inspection of the cargo compartment.
The total average market cost of the detained goods was 1,251,000 soms.
A criminal case was opened under the Article 204 (smuggling) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is under way.
