About 300 children with food poisoning treated in Bishkek Infectious Hospital
At least 362 patients, including 294 children, undergo inpatient treatment in the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital. The infectious disease doctor of the hospital Nurgul Moldalieva told today at a press conference.
According to her, many infectious diseases are spread by airborne transmission. Patients are in different departments, so it is difficult to get hospital infections. Children under 16 are placed separately.
The Chief Physician of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision under the Bishkek City Administration Arthur Buyuklyanov added that mothers do not comply with hygiene standards, give children expired food products.
«Breastfeeding should be practiced as long as possible. But not everyone adheres to this recommendation. Do not store and reuse mixed infant formula. An infection can develop in two hours,» he said.
