Number of traffic accidents in Kyrgyzstan decreases
Most of the traffic accidents occur in Bishkek and Osh through drivers’ fault. The First Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov announced this at the session of the Parliament today.
According to him, the number of traffic accidents increased 10 times for several years. «At least 86.2 percent of the traffic accidents are caused by drivers. More than 300 people died because of speeding. Accidents are often caused by maneuvers on the road, entering the oncoming lane,» said Kubatbek Boronov.
He added that traffic accidents are registered mainly in Bishkek and Osh — 57 percent of the total number. However, recently, there has been a tendency to reduction in the number of traffic accidents in Kyrgyzstan, the vice prime minister noted.
