Mudflow hits Kara-Buura district of Talas region
Water from mudflow protecting canal partially flooded the yards, sheds, five hectares of arable land and the school yard in Ak-Zhar village of Kara-Buura district, Talas region, due to heavy rains. The water did not reach the houses, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
«The Commission for Civil Protection, the operational group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, has left for the place. They brought the machinery to strengthen the canal’s banks. There are no threats of flooding of other houses or objects,» the press service noted.
According to preliminary data, local residents also used the mudflow protecting canal for irrigation.
