Uzbekistan supports construction of railway through China and Kyrgyzstan
Uzbekistan supports the construction of a railway through China and Kyrgyzstan. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
According to him, stability and prosperity of Central Asia is one of the key factors for achieving the goals of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. «We have achieved much in the SCO, but we have an unused potential, within which it is necessary to focus on the following issues: the formation of a stable immunity to the ideology of terrorism and extremism among the population; expansion of trade and economic component and strengthening cooperation,» Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
«We need new shortest routes to the world’s largest markets, we support the construction of the Mazarisharif-Herat and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway lines,» the President of Uzbekistan said.
