Legendary chess player to visit Kyrgyzstan
Chess legend, multiple world champion, State Duma deputy Anatoly Karpov, will visit Kyrgyzstan again.
The visit is timed to the first in the history competition «Anatoly Karpov’s Cup,» which will be held from June 28 to July 8 in Cholpon-Ata. «Participation of more than 200 players from the countries of Asia and Europe is expected. Age categories — up to 6, 8, 10 and 12 years. Anatoly Karpov will participate in the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners,» the organizing committee of the competition told.
This is not the first visit of the famous chess player to the Kyrgyz Republic. He has already visited Kyrgyzstan in 2017 and 2018.
