Protesters demand to release Sadyr Zhaparov at Supreme Court building

According to the protesters, the judicial board of the Supreme Court should release him from custody. Participants of the protest explain this by the fact that for the first time in judicial practice the ex-governor of Issyk-Kul region, the victim Emilbek Kaptagaev, states the innocence of the defendant.
Today, the Supreme Court should consider a supervisory appeal within the case on the riots in Karakol in 2013. Earlier, Pervomaisky District and Bishkek City Courts sentenced Sadyr Zhaparov to 11 and a half years in prison, having found him guilty of kidnapping a person.
