Regional airports operate at a loss. Representatives of International Airport Manas OJSC stated at the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction.
According to them, in 2017, at least 161 million soms were allocated for regional airports, except for airport in Osh. The loss of the company amounted to 148 million soms. The structure of the company includes 5 international and 6 regional airports. Nine of them accommodate planes.
According to them, for the first quarter of 2018, the number of flights increased by 3 percent. Current debt of airlines is 200 million soms.
