The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sooronbai Jeenbekov, met with the Prime Minister, Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev. The press service of the head of state reported.

Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev told about a broad analysis of the government’s activities in all directions, taking into account the public opinion, including the progress in implementing the presidential decree on the development of the regions, Safe City project, measures and tasks to combat corruption, control over the implementation of Tunduk program within the framework of Taza Koom project.

Issues of the economic sphere, preservation and strengthening of the investment and tourism climate, strengthening of the security of the citizens, foreign tourists during the tourist season, safety on the roads were discussed.

President Sooronbai Jeenbekov also touched upon the social issues, in particular, the protection of children.

«The number of children’s homes increases from year to year. To reduce this trend, reforms in this system are needed, bureaucracy and red taping in the adoption system should be minimized so that children are placed not into orphanages, but into families, since there are many people willing to adopt a child in Kyrgyzstan,» stressed the head of state.

The President drew particular attention to the recent death of 19-year-old Burulay Turdalieva at the police station of Zhaiyl district.

«It is necessary to strengthen work to increase the responsibility of internal affairs employees and strengthen their discipline,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov, and recommended to consider improvement of the legislative framework aimed at the protection of children, families, and prevention of violence against children and women.
