Bishkek to host open-air Tengri Music Festival
The music festival Tengri Music will be held in Bishkek for the fourth time. Organizer of the event, Victoria Yurtaeva, told.
She recalled that the festival of classical music would take place in the Victory Park in the open-air format.
The festival will unite four orchestras — the Opera and Ballet Theater, the City Administration, the Chui Chamber Orchestra and Manas Orchestra. The musicians from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will also participate in the festival.
Damira Alyshbaeva, the head of the Department for the Development of Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, noted that it was important not to be afraid of opening new formats. «Holding of such an event was a good decision for Kyrgyzstan. If a person does not go to the theater, then the theater comes to him,» she noted.
According to her, this is a necessary cultural project, in which more and more people participate.
The festival will take place on July 1. The audience will listen to the fifth Symphony of Tchaikovsky and the soprano performance by Nadezhda Pavlova (Perm Opera).
