Foreigners have to pay for each day of stay in Uzbekistan
The government of Uzbekistan changed the procedure for collecting and distributing state duties in foreign currency. Nuz.uz reported.
Now foreign citizens and stateless persons have to pay for temporary registration up to 30 days a sum, based on the number of days spent in Uzbekistan in the amount of 2 percent of the minimum wage for a day (3,445 sums).
Previously, the temporary registration cost $ 20 (160,516 sums) regardless of the time of stay in the country.
The changes will significantly save money of the tourists, the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan believes.
The changes are also applied to the citizens of the CIS countries. They will also pay 3,445 sums per day for a temporary registration up to 30 days inclusive. Prior to this, the fee was $ 5 (40,129 sums) regardless of the number of days of stay in the country.
The State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan noted that citizens of CIS countries, as a rule, come to Uzbekistan for a week or 10 days to visit friends and relatives.
