Kyrgyzstan plans to develop domestic tourism
The development of domestic tourism is planned through the creation of television programs aimed at acquaintance of the Kyrgyz people with their native country. The Director of Tourism Department under the Ministry of Culture Azamat Zhamankulov told 24.kg news agency.
«It is necessary to focus on domestic tourism, citizens of Kyrgyzstan should see beautiful places, historical sites. We would like first of all to show what a tourism product presents for our citizens. What objects can be visited and at what time and so on,» he said.
Last year, together with several channels, shooting of programs, dedicated to tourist sites, their history, legends was organized. OTRK broadcasted them the whole year long, showed each region in each season.
«This year, a project» Researchers" will be launched. We will show Kyrgyzstan through the eyes of a tourist. Two or three tourists will come, go around each area, see what is there, where one can get meals, accommodate," he said.
