Cabinet of Ministers to approve norm of gas losses for 2018
The draft resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic «On approval of the norm of gas losses for 2018» was submitted for public discussion.
«The main causes of gas losses are significant deterioration of gas pipelines and obsolete equipment installed at gas distribution facilities, service life of which is 25-30 years without replacement. In connection with the deterioration of the entire system, it is planned to reconstruct and modernize the facilities,» the Cabinet noted.
A major overhaul of unreliable sections of gas pipelines and reconstruction of gas supply facilities is planned in 2018. This will allow in subsequent years to begin a phased reduction of loss norms.
Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC delivers natural gas to virtually all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
It is also planned to carry out a large-scale reconstruction of gas supply facilities in order not only to reduce the loss norms, but also to increase the percentage of gas consumers in all regions of the country.
