Nobel Prize winner Aziz Sancar to visit Kyrgyzstan
The Turkish-American biochemist, Professor Aziz Sancar will come to Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz-Turkish University Manas informed 24.kg news agency.
On April 20, the scientist will reportedly meet with representatives of the scientific intelligentsia and the students, take part in the opening of a library, which was named after him. The meeting is timed to the conferring the title of Honorary Doctor of Manas University on the professor.
In 2015, Aziz Sancar was awarded the Nobel Prize for studying the mechanisms of DNA repair.
