28 people killed in fires since beginning of 2018
At least 878 fires occurred in the republic for 3 months of 2018 that is almost 20 percent more than in the same period of 2017. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the ministry, 28 people, including one child, were killed.
The main causes of fires are the violation of electrical equipment operating rules (36.3 percent), careless handling of fire (26.5 percent), violation of the rules for operation of heating stoves and chimneys (18.8 percent) and children playing with fire (7.1 percent).
