Parliament of Kyrgyzstan shortens term of media registration
The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan reduced the time for registration of mass media. Amendments to the Law On Mass Media were adopted today in the third reading.
The bill shortened the term of registration of a media from a month to 10 working days. A unified state register of mass media is also being created, which will contain data on registered, re-registered and closed media outlets.
Now the Ministry of Justice registers mass media in accordance with the provision, approved by the government resolution in 1992.
The document will be sent to the president for signature.
