Interior Ministry: Situation in Toguz-Toro district is stable
The social and political situation in Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad region is stable. The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed 24.kg news agency.
No incidents were registered during the night. «Policemen and representatives of the district administration conduct explanatory work with the local population at the scene. Police officers are working in regular mode,» the Interior Ministry said.
Yesterday, residents of Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad region held a rally, demanding to stop the construction of a plant, owned by the Chinese company GL Makmal Developing. The protesters burned down the laboratory, warehouses and the office building of the enterprise. Three policemen were injured during the rally.
